Meeting & Movie Night

What? Food, a movie, and a meeting.

Current members will be bringing a vegan dish to share. Anyone is welcome, but not required, to make a vegan contribution.

There are two options for the movie: The Emotional World of Farm Animals & The Witness. There will be a vote to decide.

Welcome to the Olympia Animal Rights blog! Anybody that has attended a meeting can post on this blog, but there are a few rules you must follow. I will try to make clear why these rules exist, but if you need further clarification, please send me an email/message. You can also comment here, but I can't be guaranteed to see your comment as quickly as an email.

To avoid this site becoming ugly, the posts should be uniform in style. This means a few things.

Use the default font and font size
No unnecessary usage of color in fonts
Bold should only be used to highlight words or phrases, not entire passages/posts
Italics should be used for block quotes or appropriate titles, etc.
Capitalization should be regular (NONE OF THIS oR ThiS)

The second, but more important set of rules apply to post labels. When you write a new post you will see directly below the post is a text area called "Labels for this post:". This area is for categorizing the posts. It is a great way of keeping like posts together. As such there are limits on what we should be putting as labels to assure they do what they should. Only use Labels available in the list below. Do not use variations (e.g. use "event" not "events"). Make sure to include the period (e.g. use "meeting.notes" not "meeting notes").
